How do you reset a toshiba laptop bios password?

My setup password has been the same. Now it's saying it's invalid. Is there any way to reset or get my original password to work?|||If you know the password you can enter the BIOS settings to change the password.. but i stress that you WILL need the current password to do so.





If you do NOT know the current password, you will have to remove the Lithium ION 1.5v battery from the computer, which will require a miniature screw-driver. If you remove the battery for about 30 seconds, the BIOS settings will be cleared to default.





In order to do this I suggest you look up a guide on the manufacturer's website and find out where exactly the battery is housed. It is generally very easy to access the battery, so don't be too scared off by all of the steps provided.





If you are a newer of compuer, you can use the bios/cmos password recovery tool from http://www.biospasswordrecovery.com|||I get this problem with windows password in dos because of the typematic rate is different.


Make sure you aren't typing too quickly or slowly


Look at the ***** and make sure you get one * for every letter or number you type





Other than that you are probably looking at disassembly to clear cmos by removing the cmos battery.|||There are two passwords in BIOS. One is start up password, the other is BIOS setting password. If you have forgotten the start up password that means you cannot open computer at all. Then the first method is the only thing you can do. Other methods can use to clear setting password...
