Why can I not access the Messenger site with either my original ID password or with my new details?

I have been trying since yesterday (Monday) evening and again this (Tuesday) am - no success . Message appears about connection problem Is that mine or yours?|||Try Reinstalling he software and delete all cookies and temporary internet files and then try signing in again. :)
